Polaris Montessori Elementary PAC

January, 2026

Welcome to the Polaris Parent Advisory Council (PAC).

All parents/caregivers of Polaris students are automatically members of the PAC.

Our Executive Committee meets monthly on the third Monday of each month (Sept to June) and our AGM occurs each October. We welcome you to join us for meetings in person at Polaris or online via our Discord server.

Your voice and input matters! We welcome all parents/caregivers of Polaris students to participate in our meetings, events, fundraisers and future planning.

Mussi cho, thank you very much for your support!

Fundraiser Highlight: West Coast Seeds

We are running a fundraiser with West Coast Seeds from January 19 to February 9 to raise money for our school PAC!

We chose this fundraiser because we want to support and promote something that is environmentally sustainable and that encourages growing healthy food.

Every packet purchased will earn 40% of the profit for our PAC.

Seeds can be ordered on the fundraising site (fundraising.westcoastseeds.com).

Please ensure that you order from our Polaris PAC campaign link only, otherwise we will not earn the 40%.

Visit the West Coast Seeds fundraising page, click ‘Organizations’ and search for our group (Polaris Elementary PAC). Then you can start your shopping! Once you have completed your order, follow the steps to check out and add in your details so that we can contact you when the orders are in. Seeds should be shipped to us within 15-20 days. Please remember to add the students name who you are supporting

Don’t forget to order by February 9!

Fundraising proceeds are put towards STEAM class materials, buses for field trips, food/bedding/vet care for class pets, Montessori materials, sensory room items, new Indigenous/outdoor classroom, playground upgrades and school events such as dances and BBQs.

Hot Lunch Program: Order online!

Our Hot Lunch program is very popular and is the largest fundraiser for Polaris PAC! When you order online via https://polaris.hotlunches.net/admin/ your student(s) get a variety of healthy hot lunches and the proceeds go directly back to Polaris student initiatives. Hot Lunch orders are offered every 2 weeks on Thursdays from October to June. You will see on the chart that ordering is open for 7 days each month for the subsequent 2 Hot Lunch dates.

Menus from several local restaurants give lots of options including Halal, vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free meals.

You will need to register for the Hot Lunch site each school year as the site resets annually for privacy.

Visit https://polaris.hotlunches.net/admin/ for registration and ordering.

We always need extra volunteer assistance with portioning and delivering Hot Lunch orders to classrooms. If you are able to help out for 45 minutes once a month on a Thursday please email Crystal-Lynn at polarispac@gmail.com. We appreciate your help and support of the Hot Lunch Program!

Events and Fundraisers support many programs and initiatives that benefit all Polaris students.

“The children of today will make all the discoveries of tomorrow. All the discoveries of mankind will be known to them and they will improve what has been done and make fresh discoveries. They must make all the improvements in houses, cities, communication, methods of production, etc. that are to be made. The future generation must not only know how to do what we can teach them, they must be able to go a step further.”
